Cool Paint Introduction

Users can download the free trial version of Cool Paint from http://www.secoosoft.com. The free trial period is 15 days, which is enough for users to get a comprehensive understanding about it for all available functions. After full installation, double-click the icon on the desktop to enter Full Screen Edit of Cool Paint.

When users first see Cool Paint, they will be impressed by its cartoon interface and this style is also applied to the design of tool icons & menu buttons. When users run operations with mouse, the wonderful sound effects and dynamic effect of the buttons will give them a surprise. Different from other software’s stiffness, all the tools in Cool Paint can be displayed dynamically when operating a big program.

Looking at the interface carefully, on the top are menu options including open, management, help, etc. On the top right of the interface, there are three buttons forming a triangle. They are:
Darkroom               Pictrue gallery                Board

Clicking one of the three buttons, the corresponding sub-functions will be displayed on the right, such as Paintbrushes、Eraser、Fairy pocket, etc. The tool bar on the left belongs to certain sub-functions on the right, for instance, while clicking Paintbrushes, different kinds of brushes will be displayed on the left, while clicking Eraser, Erasers of various effects will be displayed.  The bottom is for further adjustment of tools on the left, such as adjustment for properties like the brush filter, straight line& curves, thickness and thinness. Therefore it is obvious that the design of the interface follows the order that from right to left then from left to bottom, which makes it convenient for users to select tools and use the application.

Cool Paint has an interface for picture management, which contains the import and export of graphics, preview, frame, drawing paper, etc.

First we look at the tools of Board provided by Cool Paint Cool Paint provides 14 kinds of tools of Board, there are:

As software for drawing, the most important is its paintbrushes. Cool Paint provides 9 paintbrushes of different styles.

There are corresponding options of each tool at the bottom, which can be filled with different types of brushes.

Those paintbrushes in Cool Paint have very good stroke effects, by which users can create works of different styles, such as water color, oil painting, sketch and etc.

Besides, though Cool Paint is software specialized in drawing, its image editing can match those professional image processing software. The special effects frequently used included in Darkroom are as followings:

Color Adjustment, Mode Convert, Darkroom Effects, Gradient Mapping, Noise, Color Interchange, Function Adjustment.

As the introduction of interface at the beginning mentioned, there are many corresponding tiny categories of each function on the left and there are more options about special effects at the bottom.

Picture Gallery contains nearly 1,000 pictures of three huge categories : Background、Roles、Animation, each category has corresponding sub-categories . Users can add their favorite pictures to the Gallery.

2. Add new, delete, open, preview. Import pictures from scanner or digital camera to save and print them. Import and export all kinds of pictures. Frame: apply all kinds of beautiful frames to picture. Paper pattern: Select square, rectangle, roundness, quincunx, heart-shaped and other paper patterns to create picture. Set desktop with finished picture.

3. Finally, we look at the picture management which contains many fantastic functions such as Add new, delete, open, preview. Import pictures from scanner or digital camera to save and print them. Import and export all kinds of pictures. Frame: apply all kinds of beautiful frames to picture.
