Q: I am really a beginner of this kind of video conversion tools. It is difficult for me to understand how to use your program. Is it possible to offer me a simple way?
A: Coolsoft PSP Video Converter is very easy to use, you can refer to the “Start Files” in the Help of the software or go to http://www.secoolsoft.com/guides.htm to refer to the Guide |
I want to change some settings of conversion. Where can I find them?
A: All the settings of the software can be found on the bottom panel of the main interface. After you highlight the file you load and select the output format, the settings that can be changed will be active, such as the "Frame Rate", "Video Size", "and Video/Audio Bit rate" and so on.
What if I convert a file into same format several times saving in the same output folder without setting different output names respectively? Will your program just overwrite the previous conversion?
A: Yes, our software will overwrite the previous one and only save the last one.
After the conversion is done, I found that the output file is in such a small resolution. All what I used are default settings. I should be able to adjust resolution. What should I do?
A: In our program, resolution is called "Video Size". You can find this item on the bottom. Different output format may have different default values. You can select a value which is offered in the drop-list to adjust the resolution.
Where can I find the output files after the conversion?
A: After our software shows "complete" for the conversion job, the folder where the converted software lies will popup and you will find it. You can also go to the Output directly which you’ve selected before conversion to see the converted file.
When I play the loaded files in your program, I found that the video quality is not good enough and even the audio is not OK sometimes. Will it affect the final output files?
A: Our software is just a conversion tool. The preview function would be limited by certain files which are not in common codec. So the preview of the original file would not be perfect in certain conditions. But it will not affect the conversion, which means the output file should still be OK.
After the conversion is done, I am not satisfied with the quality of output files. How can I improve it by certain settings?
A: Generally speaking, the output quality can be improved by modifying "Video Size" and video "Bit Rate". After you highlight the loaded file into the program, you will be able to modify them on the bottom panel of the main interface. But in certain format, there would be some limitations. And also, the output files would be in a larger size if you set larger values for these two items.
I have many files to convert. How can I import them simultaneously? It means I want to import many files in one time.
A: You'd better put all your files into one folder and open it with our software. Multi-selection is available by pressing "CTRL" key and highlighting them at the same time. It is quite convenient.

A:RM/RMVB, a video codec developed by RealNetworks Inc. has been editing and updating since it’s born. It has many decoders. Because of the incompatibility between the new and old version of RM/RMVB decoder released by RM decode organization, until now there is no converter in the world which can support the conversion of all the RM/RMVB formats.
When you convert RM/RMVB format files, when you find that most of the files can be converted, it means the decoder in Coolsoft PSP Video Converter can recognize and support the codec. But some users may encounter the problem that there is no image, no sound or abnormal situation of the converted RM/RMVB files, it means that the RM/RMVB decoder in users’ computer can not support the decoding of the video. We support some solutions to solve the problem, please refer to the followings:
No image, no sound and abnormal situation
The software needs the groupware in RealPlayer to convert RM/RMVB format files, and install 10.5 or above version of RealPlayer, please click here to download.
1. Click here to download the latest RM/RMVB decoder files (support new RM formats)
2. Click here to download the old RM/RMVB decoder files (Included in the software itself and support old RM formats)
How to Do
The above two files have the same name, so please do not download at the time so not to be covered. Please download the first decoder which is not included in the software. After download, first please exit Coolsoft PSP Video Converter (must exit the software), then copy the downloaded RealMediaSplitter.ax file to the installation directory of Coolsoft PSP Video Converter, meanwhile, the system will prompt whether you want to cover the cognominal RealMediaSplitter.ax file, please select cover the file (some users may encounter the prompt that it can not cover the file, please restart computer and enter the system to do the above step to cover the file. Pay attention: Do not open Coolsoft PSP Video Converter before you successfully cover the file). After successfully covering the file, open Coolsoft PSP Video Converter to do conversion. If the conversion is successful, it means that the RM/RMVB file is the new format and you need to use the first decoder supporting the new RM/RMVB format to do the conversion. If you can not do successful conversion, please download the second decoder. Coolsoft PSP Video Converter has it in itself. After download, please shut Coolsoft PSP Video Converter and repeat the above steps of the first decoder. If you can use the second one to do successful conversion, it means the video file belongs to the older RM/RMVB formats and you need the second decoder to do the conversion. Before covering the file, please make sure that Coolsoft PSP Video Converter exits.
Attention:
Though your downloaded video files belong to RM/RMVB format, because of the different source, it may belong to either the new or the older encoding format, you need to try the proper decoder continually. It means that you can not convert all the RM/RMVB format files after getting the successful conversion once through the above steps and you need to try the two decoders continually. Usually, one of the two decoder RealMediaSplitter.ax released by official decoder organization can convert the RM/RMVB format files in your computer.
If the above two decoders can not convert the RM/RMVB files in your computer, neither of the released decoder can get the compatibility with the RM/RMVB file. The reasons may be the special or rare encoder, the existence of the incompatible part in the file or the encrypted copyright.
