Interface’s Brief Introduction

The main interface consists of Canvas,Tool select,Commands,Layers, Scripts,Color Palette,Music Box.

Exit: Click here if you want to exit Cool Paint.

Canvas

The large area in the center is the Canvas on which the picture and the operation to the picture display.

The right side of the canvas is the Tool Select space whose upper part is Unit Select space, including board, darkroom and picture gallery. When you select one of them, the Tools space underneath it will show all kinds of tools.

Board: Click to enter the "board" menu. You can start drawing after selecting brushes.

Darkroom: Click to enter the "Darkroom" menu to adjust color, brightness and do image special processing.

Picture Gallery: Click to enter the "Picture Gallery" menu. You can select pictures, backgrounds, black-and-white pictures and lovely animations to decorate your work.

After selecting a tool, the corresponding tool type will show on the left side.

For instance: After selecting paintbrushes, a series of paintbrushes will show, such as pencil, airbrush, brush, etc. You can select one to draw.

After selecting a type of tool, its parameter adjustment area will show under the canvas. If you finish selecting, please start drawing.

For instance: After selecting the pencil, you can adjust its parameter specifically in many aspects, such as the thickness and the width of the brush tip, paper texture, etc.

The top of the canvas is the Commands space where you can do simple commands to your work, for instance, cut, copy, paste, delete, etc.

Blank Canvas: To open a new blank canvas.

Picture Management: To manage your works. It can save your works in different folders according to their categories. Click to enter "Picture Management" menu.

Undo: To cancel the last step.

Redo: To resume the last step canceled.

Copy: To copy the whole picture or selection.

Cut: To cut the whole picture or selection.

Paste: To paste the whole picture or selection.

Select all: To select the whole picture.

Select none: To delete the selection.

Selection inverse: To select all the content except the selection on the canvas.

Show The Assistant: The assistant will tell you how to do next.

Click to pop up Layers menu to manage your works by layers. You can modify one layer without affecting others.

Hide Layers menu.

Add another layer to the current picture.

Delete the current layer.

Move up one layer.

Move down one layer.

Duplicate the current layer.

Merge the current layer to bottom.

Clear the current layer.

Input pictures to the current layer if needed.

Save the current layer as bmp, jpg, png format picture.

Click to popup the Scripts menu. It can record your drawing process to play or draw.

To hide Scripts menu. Please have a try. It can record 5 clips of drawing process and save in the 5 buttons. Click any button to record or play.

Hide Scripts menu.

Move the script to the beginning to play.

Move the script to the last record to play.

Move the script to the next record.

Move the script to the end to play.

Click to play in the current color and transparency or in the original color and transparency.

After finish, Click here to play the clip you selected.

Click to stop recording or playing.

If ready, start to record.

Delete the scripts later than the present script.

Click or drag the slider to adjust the current recording position. The slider shows the script’s position while playing.

Transparency: Click or drag this button to adjust the transparency of color.

Foreground color/Background color: The content in the three small squares is the foreground color and background color you have selected the last 3 times. Click it to use directly. Click the biggest square to enter the palette to choose color. Click the arrow to interchange the two colors.

Input numbers representing red, green and blue in the number space to select color. Click or drag your mouse to select color in the color space. You can also adjust the transparency of the selected color.

To confirm the selected color.

To cancel the selected color.

To return to the initial color to reselect.

Do you want to listen to music while drawing? Just click this button to popup music box menu.

The system provides 20 background songs for you and you can import your favorite MID format music, you can also adjust the volume and close it anytime as you like.
