Q: I want to change some settings of conversion. Where can I find them?

A: All the settings of the software can be found on the right panel of the main interface. After you select a device, the settings that can be changed will be active, such as the "Frame Rate", "Sample Rate", "and Video/Audio Bit rate" and so on. Some of them are in dropdown lists and some of them can be changed just by entering a concrete number.
In the Wizard, you can reach them in the fourth step, "Select Profile", by clicking "Advanced Settings". |

What if I convert a file into same format several times saving in the same output folder without setting different output names respectively? Will your program just overwrite the previous conversion? It will be nice if it can save the output files in different titles automatically.

Where can I find the output files after the conversion?
|
A: After our software shows "complete" for the conversion job, please click "Open" button which can be found at the bottom of the main interface. You will reach the destination folder directly, from where you will find the output files for your conversion job. Generally, the default destination folder for our program is "C:\Temp". convert it to AVI format, after the first conversion job, the output file will be named as "movie_new.avi". If you do the same conversion job again, our program will generate a file, called "movie-new0.avi". And also, if you perform a third conversion, the third output file will be "movie-new1.avi". It means it will produce files in different titles each time in this way.

After the conversion is done, I found that the output file is in such a small resolution. All what I used are default settings. I should be able to adjust resolution. But I can not find such a resolution item on the right panel. Why? And what should I modify?

A: In our program, resolution is called "Video Size". You can find this item after you click the “advanced” button. Different output format may have different default values. For some of them, the default one would be "Auto". You can select a value which is offered in the drop-list or simply enter a proper number you want directly into.

Where can I found the output files after the conversion?

A: When you begin to you conversion, you could select the option that “Show output directory when done”, then after our software shows "complete" for the conversion job, it will reach the destination folder directly, from where you will find the output files for your conversion job. Generally, the default destination folder for our program is "C:\".

After the conversion is done, I am not satisfied with the quality of output files. How can I improve it by certain settings?
|
A: Generally speaking, the output quality can be improved by modifying "Video Size" and video "Bit Rate". After you highlight the loaded file into the program, you will be able to modify them on panel of the “advanced” interface. But in certain format, there would be some limitations. And also, the output files would be in a larger size if you set larger values for these two items.

I have many files to convert. How can I import them simultaneous? It means I want to import many files by one time.

A: You'd better put all your files into one folder and open it with our software. Multi-selection is available by pressing "CTRL" key and highlighting them at same time. |

After I make some proper modifications on settings, is it possible to save it as a single profile so that I can use it directly each time?
|
A: VASA iPod Video Converter could save the settings you have done last time even when you close the program. |

I have finished the conversion to iPod; what do I need to do so that I can transfer the output files into my iPod?
|
A: Do you have iTunes installed? It is a must. Please download it from www.apple.com. The transferring job must be done by this tool. For more details about this job, maybe the support information offered by Apple site would also help. Or you can browse the CD following iPod, from where you can read a manual.

When I watch the output files on my iPod, every certain minutes, the video would freeze for a couple of seconds, and then the audio will disappear when the playback resume. I have to rewind the iPod to get the audio again. Why? It does not happen on iTunes and QuickTime. |
A: Please check which firmware of iPod you are using. If it is in V1.1, you would have such problem. Please upgrade its firmware to V1.1.1 released on Mar 23 2006 by Apple from http://www.apple.com/ipod/download/. After that, the playback will be smooth on your iPod. |
